Director of Business Operations

Elaine Truitt’s varied background of 20 years in business leadership has contributed to her success as the Director of Business Operations. In this role, she leads key strategic initiatives and project implementations utilizing her deep experience in project management. In addition to these responsibilities, she also oversees the Fleet Maintenance Department.

Elaine is a big-picture thinker and has an innate ability to develop strategic plans that achieve business goals while balancing multiple complex projects. Additionally, Elaine is a leader with the capability to evaluate and streamline business functions through process improvement and added efficiencies.  Truitt is also skilled in change management, helping departments and employees adjust and adapt to improvement initiatives and the ever-changing workplace environment.  Currently, she’s employing this skillset to help make Carson a best-in-class organization.

Positive employee engagement and a strong family oriented feel are significant factors that attracted Elaine to a long-term career path with Carson.  She believes in being a lifelong learner and dedicates time to helping employees develop and grow, improve themselves and their areas of responsibility. Overall, she strives to help build a team of valued employees who are “Carson”.

Working with Carson ties her personal commitments together with an organization that believes in making a difference.  Elaine is an avid community and educational volunteer.  She believes in devoting time to those in her community through her involvement in Rotary International and has a passion for introducing teenagers to the world at large through Rotary Youth Exchange.
